About MA-5356 AlMg5

MA-5356 (AlMg5) is the most widely used aluminium filler metal. It suits 5xxx-series base materials with up to 5 % magnesium, the heat-treatable 6xxx alloys (e.g. EN AW-6060, 6082) and dissimilar joints between both groups. The weld metal reaches higher strength than AlSi5 and anodises with matching colour. Typical applications: vehicle and ship building, tanks, aluminium structures, railings and machinery.
